Downtown Blacksburg Inc is proud to present our business Member of the Month of December– Tuck Chiropractic.
Tuck Chiropractic Brings Relief to Backs in Blacksburg and Beyond
In the heart of Downtown Blacksburg on Main Street, you can find Dr. Jennifer Rathmann, Dr. Patrick Boylan, and chiropractic assistants Zach Bird and Taylor Pike-Hauser, are providing life-changing outcomes to patients in pain through patient-centered care.
This particular location of Tuck Chiropractic first opened its doors in 1997, where Dr. Ray Tuck treated patients. It is one of ten locations in Tuck Chiropractic’s network of clinics. In 1999, Dr. Rathmann joined the practice and has been building strong connections in the New River Valley community ever since.
About the Doctors
Originally from Buffalo, New York, Dr. Rathmann received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, Illinois. Since her time at Tuck Chiropractic, she has become a senior partner and is vice president of clinical excellence. She also serves on the Board of the Virginia Chiropractic Association. She treats all patients including low back pain, neck pain, and headaches, and is certified to provide acupuncture.
Rathmann is known to be a leader who makes time, not excuses. She strives every day to make every one of her patients, staff members, and teammates feel valued and cared for.
Dr. Patrick Boylan joined the Blacksburg practice in August of 2019 and has quickly made an impact on the community. Originally from Philadelphia, Boylan studied chiropractic at Logan University in St. Louis. His passion for helping people overcome their pain is evident in the results he’s able to provide for his patients. He’s dedicated to taking the time to educate them about how to take their health into their own hands.
In the Community
Both doctors are dedicated to supporting the Blacksburg community beyond the clinic. As members of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Blacksburg, Inc., they spend a lot of time volunteering for community causes. They’re also both active members of the Blacksburg Sports Club, an organization dedicated to supporting local varsity athletic programs.
Dr. Rathmann is no stranger to spearheading community causes. She’s been known to play Mrs. Claus on the Tuck Chiropractic Christmas Parade float and once participated in the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics, braving the icy New River. This year, Rathmann is asking patients and the public to bring donations to the clinic for a toy drive for Valley Interfaith Child Care Center, where she formerly sat on the Board.
