Downtown Blacksburg Inc. is proud to present our business Member of the Month for February, 2018- Cafe de Bangkok.
Cafe de Bangkok opened in 2006. Owned and operated by Pie Charoensombut-amorn and sister, Amp Nita Dickinson Cafe de Bangkok is truly a hub for family involvement and welcomes customers of all ages. Pie was studying at Virginia Tech when her sister Aivey came to visit. They realized that there was no Thai food in the area and together concocted the idea to open a Thai Restaurant for a little taste of home! A few years later when Pie was pregnant with her second child, her other sister, Amp came over to help out. Amp graduated in Business Management in Canada and was working in the restaurant industry so she was a perfect fit for the Blacksburg restaurant and now calls this home!
The sisters also own and operate the ever popular Next Door Bake Shop located at 460 Turner St NW, Ste 204.
inspired food that is sure to please every customer. The cuisine is influenced by old Thai family recipes, but also has a modern take. Try a bite of customer favorite Pad Thai and you’ll know what we’re talking about!
