Based in Christiansburg, the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce is proud to serve Blacksburg, Christiansburg and Montgomery County. The Chamber promotes economic development, fosters cooperation among communities, governments, institutions and Chamber members, works towards a better quality of life for Montgomery County residents. The Chamber is a member-based organization with more than 600 members representing thousands of employees in the New River Valley. The Chamber is governed by a Board of Directors, consisting of Montgomery County’s key business and community leaders.

Another way the Chamber supports is with the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce Foundation. This foundation supports the public education system in Montgomery County by awarding scholarships to students graduating from a Montgomery County high school who will attend Virginia Tech or New River Community College. The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Foundation also recognizes the hard work of our teachers with the Teacher of the Year award. This award is given annually to a teacher recognized by MCPS. In conjunction with Teacher of the Year, 19 additional educators are selected by MCPS and recognized by the Chamber with a gift certificate for their classrooms. In 2017 the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Foundation included early childhood education by celebrating an early childhood educator chosen by Alliance for Better Childcare Strategies.

Another way the Chamber works to serve is with our monthly programming and annual events.  Below is an outline of each program and event:
